About Us

We’re Hiking Pack Fit—the Fit‑First Carry Lab for hikers. We start with your body and your load, then match you to packs that carry comfortably on your specific trips. Our field tests are standardized, repeatable, and performed by a body‑diverse team so that our fit ranges, stability notes, and longevity findings reflect real trail use, not spec sheets.

Mission Statement Our mission is to make hiking more comfortable and sustainable by delivering clear, data‑backed pack fit guidance and long‑term durability insights—so you can buy once, carry pain‑free, repair what you can, and keep good gear on trail for years.

Our Brand Story Like many hikers, we were told to “just pull the straps tighter.” It didn’t work. After too many hotspots, numb hips, and unstable descents, we built what we couldn’t find: a fit‑and‑longevity lab that maps carry profiles (torso length, hip wrap, load type, climate) to packs verified on trail loops at set weights.

Today we publish plain‑English fit ranges, expected weight sweet spots, stability on scrambles and side‑hills, and realistic ventilation trade‑offs. We also log abrasion, seam wear, and hardware longevity—plus how easily parts can be replaced or repaired. Our tools include a quick sizing guide, load‑based selector, compatibility checklists, and tutorials for adjustment, care, and simple field repairs.

How We Work

  • Standardized loops by load class (day, weekend, expedition) and terrain (scramble, traverse, descent)
  • Body‑diverse testers across torso lengths and hip profiles, including women/petite/plus/long‑torso
  • Use‑case validation for photographers, parents outfitting youth, travel‑hike crossovers, and ultralight trekkers
  • Durability tracking: fabric abrasion, seam integrity, frame/hardware checks, and repairability

Our Team

  • Lead Fit Analyst: Converts body measurements and load details into actionable fit ranges and on‑trail adjustments.
  • Stability & Movement Tester: Evaluates how packs track with the body on scrambles, side‑hills, and quick descents.
  • Longevity & Repair Editor: Assesses materials, modularity, spare part access, and writes step‑by‑step repair guides.
  • Ultralight & Thru‑Hike Specialist: Focuses on weight vs. structure trade‑offs at 10–25 lb loads and long‑mile comfort.
  • Women’s/Petite/Plus Fit Advocate: Expands our fit database and reviews with inclusive sizing and real body representation.
  • Photo/Travel‑Hybrid Reviewer: Tests camera and tripod carry, overhead bin compliance, and rapid‑access organization.

We believe comfort is a right, not a luxury. If you can tell us your torso length, hip wrap, load weight, and climate, we’ll help you find a pack that disappears on your back and stays on trail longer through smart care and repair.
